These terms and conditions are intended to keep Global Spirits a safe place to buy our products and services online.


Introduction

Global Spirits (‘we’ ‘us’ ‘our’) website (our ‘Site’ or ‘Sites’) and related services are made available to you in accordance with the following Terms & Conditions and any other rules posted on our Site. If you have any queries or comments about Global Spirits, you can email us at support@globalspirits.co.nz In particular, we wish to draw your attention to our policies relating to the terms of purchase and our Privacy Policy. We may modify the Terms and Conditions from time to time, and recommend that you view our Site periodically for details of any changes. If you do not agree to any change to the Terms and Conditions then you must immediately stop using the Site. Any changes made after you have placed an order will not affect that order unless we are required to make the change by law.


Registration

To use some of the services or features made available to you on our Site you will need to register. When you register you are required to provide information about yourself that is true, accurate, current, and complete in all respects. Should any of your registration information change, you should immediately update your information by signing into your account and editing your personal information in My Account. We may also change registration requirements from time to time. The account password you provide should be unique and kept secure, and you must notify Global Spirits immediately of any breach of security or unauthorised use of your account. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information about how Global Spirits use your data.


Eligibility to Purchase

In order to make purchases on the Site you will be required to provide your personal details. In particular, you must provide your correct full name, date of birth, phone number, e-mail address and other requested information as indicated. Furthermore, you will be required to provide payment details that you represent, and warrant are both valid and correct, and to confirm your identity as the person referred to in the Billing information provided. It is a condition of purchase, and a legal requirement, that you verify that you are 18 years of age or over. If you do not confirm that you are 18 years or over, your order will not be processed.


Legal Notice

Global Spirits supports the responsible service of alcohol. Under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 it is illegal for us to sell alcohol to you if you are under the age of 18. It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years. No Alcohol can be sold or supplied to anyone under 18. It is illegal for you to buy alcohol from us if you are under the age of 18 and it is illegal if you falsify your details in order to buy alcohol if you are under the age of 18. We reserve the right to request additional age verification at any time.


Pricing Policy

All prices displayed on this site include GST and are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD)


Orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability, and items in your shopping basket are not reserved and may be purchased by other customers. We endeavour to only offer products for sale that are in stock and available for dispatch within a reasonable period of time. Occasionally however, Global Spirits may be waiting for additional stock from our suppliers. Should this occur, Global Spirits shall endeavour to notify you of the expected delivery date and you will be given the opportunity to cancel your purchase and obtain a refund if so desired.


Acceptance of your Order

Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed, you will receive an email acknowledging the details of your order. This email is NOT an acceptance of your order, just a confirmation that it has been received. Unless your order is cancelled, acceptance of your order and completion of the contract between you and Global Spirits will occur when the goods have been dispatched to you. Global Spirits reserve the right not to place your order in certain events, including, that we are unable to obtain authorisation for payment, that shipping restrictions apply to a particular item, that the item ordered is out of stock, or does not satisfy our quality control standards and is withdrawn, or that you do not meet the eligibility criteria set out within the Terms & Conditions. We may also decline to process and accept a transaction for any reason or decline service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion.


Pricing

Information We make every effort to correctly display our prices on this website. However if a price is incorrect we reserve the right not to proceed with your order at that incorrect price. If a product that you have ordered has been incorrectly priced we will contact you to give you the option of paying the correct price or cancelling your order.


Payment

Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards and any other methods which may be clearly advertised on the Site from time to time. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

Global Spirits take reasonable care to make our Site secure. All credit/debit card transactions are processed using secure online payment gateways that encrypts your card details in a secure host environment. With the combination of SSL encryption on our website and a secure browser at your end, we take all reasonable measures to ensure that your credit card and personal information are protected when you purchase online. We also recommend that you take appropriate security precautions when accessing the Internet via public Wi-Fi networks or shared computers.

 

Delivery

We can deliver to most locations in New Zealand as we utilize a network of courier companies that may change from time to time depending upon the location. The delivery charge will be identified and provided depending on the order at the time of checkout.

In order to comply with liquor laws, the customer will be required to present appropriate identification which includes their full name, date of birth, photo and signature. Failing to provide a required identification, courier person will not deliver it to someone who is under the age of 18 and/or if no one is at the provided delivery address at the time of delivery, the courier company will not leave the package at your address as it contains alcohol, instead they might leave a card for you to pick up from your local post office or an alternative parcel pick-up point as notified by the courier company. Our carriers reserve the right to leave a card (instead of your order) even for unattended delivery. 

    We shall not be liable for any failure to deliver within a reasonable time whether the delay is due to causes beyond the control of us or otherwise.

    Global Spirits reserve the right to restrict the number or quantities of an item being shipped to any one customer or postal address.

     

    Product and Packing Guarantees

    If, for any reason, you are not happy with your order, please contact us on: support@globalspirits.co.nz with full details of your purchase and reason of return within 7 working days from the receipt of your order. 

    In the case of a change of mind, or error in order from the customer's end, returned products will be delivered at the cost of the customer. If your delivery has been damaged in transit we will replace it for you.

    We and our courier partner take utmost care to deliver the goods in proper condition but there could be some instance where goods can get damage in transit. If you feel the goods are damaged then we request you to refuse accepting the parcel from the courier person. After the courier company informs us about the damage we will resend the same order within 24 hours.

    If your order has been packed incorrectly and is not what you have been invoiced for, we will put it right for you. Please note that packing errors must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

      

    Cancellation

    Once you have placed an order on this website the order is final and cannot be cancelled. However, products may be returned to us under the conditions of our above Product and Packing Guarantee.  


    Privacy Statement

    We respect your privacy and we will protect it. Global Spirits emails and this website contain special offers and allow subscribers the opportunity to buy products online. Click on the Privacy Policy link at the bottom of our website for further information. You may opt out of Global Spirits emails at any time by from your account by using your unique Sign In Name and Password or alternatively email us at support@globalspirits.co.nz for assistance.

To the extent permitted by law, Global Spirits hereby disclaims all liability (howsoever arising) in connection with any loss and/or damage, arising out of or in connection with any use of, or inability to use, all or any part of the Content, the Site and/or any website to which the Site is linked, or any action taken (or refrained from being taken) as a result of using any of them. You agree that, by accessing and using the Site, you release Global Spirits and its employees and agents from all liability (however occurring) for any loss and/or damage arising directly or indirectly from or in connection with any use, or inability to use, all of any part of the Content the Site and/or any website to which the Site is linked or any action taken (or not taken) as a result of using any of them.
